چکیده
In this work we propose and theoretically characterize optical isolators consisting of an all-dielectric nonmagnetic resonator featuring intensity-dependent refractive index a strong coherent field propagating in single direction. Such devices can be straightforwardly realized state-of-the-art integrated photonics platforms. The mechanism underlying isolation is based on the breaking reciprocity induced by asymmetric action four-wave mixing processes coupling pump with copropagating signal idler modes but not reverse-propagating ones. Taking advantage close analogy fluids light, our proposed physically understood terms Bogoliubov dispersion collective excitations top beam. A few most relevant setups realizing proposal are specifically investigated, such as coherently illuminated passive ring unidirectionally lasing or Taiji resonators.

Suppression of Four Wave Mixing Based on the Pairing Combinations of Differently Linear-Polarized Optical Signals in WDM System
Data transmission in optical systems and increased transmission distance capacity benefit by using optical amplification wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology. The combination of four waves (FWM) is a non-linear effect in the wavelength division multiplex (WDM), when more than two wavelengths of light in a fiber launch will occur. FWM amount depends on the channel, the channel spaci...
متن کاملOptical time lens based on four-wave mixing on a silicon chip.
We propose a new technique to realize an optical time lens for ultrafast temporal processing that is based on four-wave mixing in a silicon nanowaveguide. The demonstrated time lens produces more than 100 pi of phase shift, which is not readily achievable using electro-optic phase modulators. Using this method we demonstrate 20x magnification of a signal consisting of two 3 ps pulses, which all...

متن کاملFour-Wave Mixing Crosstalk Suppression Based on the Pairing Combinations of Differently Linear-Polarized Optical Signals
A new approach to suppressing the four-wave mixing (FWM) crosstalk by using the pairing combinations of differently linear-polarized optical signals was investigated. The simulation was conducted using a four-channel system, and the total data rate was 40 Gb/s. A comparative study on the suppression of FWM for existing and suggested techniques was conducted by varying the input power from 2 dBm...
